Traditional Iranian home cooking
An Iranian restaurant in the geart of Petit Laurier
For 36 years, this family-run restaurant, founded by Héméla Pourafzl and her brother, originally from Rasht, Iran, has been offering traditional Iranian and Middle Eastern homemade cuisine in a simple and warm atmosphere.
Brunch has become an institution here: feta omelette, homemade sweet bread, artisanal jams, and halva. All served with Iranian tea until 4 p.m. on weekends.
In the summer, the windows open onto the neighborhood and the dining room comes alive. At lunch and dinner, you can also discover the great Persian classics: stews, fragrant rice, boranis, kookoos, and homemade rolls.
THE DIZZY
This Iranian national dish is a stew of lamb, potatoes, eggplants, and tomatoes, traditionally served with fresh herbs, torchi, radishes, and raw onions.
A vegetarian version is also available, where the lamb is replaced with eggplant.
Available every Sunday from 5 PM to 11 PM.
“Among the favorite dishes at breakfast time, Byblos' feta omelette has always been at the top of the list.”
